- 1 quart sauerkraut, drained and rinsed
- 1.5 cups water
- 0.75 cup diced carrot
- 0.75 cup brown sugar
- 0.66666668653488 cup chopped apple
- 0.5 sweet onion, minced
- 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 1 pound fully cooked kielbasa, cut into 1-inch pieces
